The end of this year volleyball season is approaching and the team is getting ready for the final and most important tournament in Leysin (Lausanne, CH).This year has been very important and significant for me as I became captain of the team and this is a great responsibility I have to undertake. Being a role model, being on time, and showing leader skills have one of the basics skills that I had to improve and show during this season.
This was my first year as captain of the team, and I have to admit that, even if I have always been a close friend of the previous captains of the team in the past years, I never imagined this to be so hard.
You always have to have a positive attitude, show that you care about every single member of the team because it is at you that everyone refers in the hardest moments. This is very hard because I believe it very hard to hide frustration when a game is not going in the way you expected it to. Anyways I believe this to be a very good experience for my self and for my future because this taught me a lot about relationship with people. It has been a nice experience also because I shared the role with a friend of mine, I liked the fact that we were both captains as we helped eachoter in the hardest moment. Also we learnt how to share the "power". I am very proud when I say that this has worked amazingly as no problem arose when deciding who wanted to do what and when. I am glad I had the chance to live this opportunity. For the first time I was in charge and I obtained one of the most important roles, I am really happy about this year's achievement as this makes me very proud and I find it very remunerating.Let's hope the best for the last tournament now.
